Mayor H. Wayne Folker was acclaimed.
Councillors include; incumbent Donald Rockwell, incumbent Peter Murray, incumbent Faye Hill, Robbie Zwicker, Shannon Cunningham and Harold Bulger.
New council will be sworn in at the next regular meeting of council on Tuesday, November 4th.

Hantsport in Brief...
Population: In 2006, the population of the Town of Hantsport was 1191 persons.
Recreation facilities: The Hantsport Memorial Community Centre provides a centrally located focal point for sports and entertainment within the Town. During the summer months baseball, soccer, tennis, swimming and a playground are available on the grounds. In addition, the centre functions as the main stage for the Town's annual July 1st celebrations.
Transportation: The Town of Hantsport is very well served with a transportation system. The road network provides easy access to other points in the province. The main arterial roads are Route #1 (old Halifax Highway) and Highway #101. These highways provide quick and easy access to the Halifax-Dartmouth metropolitan area as well as points further west in the Valley. A terminal bus service is located in Falmouth.
Effective September 4, 2007 a public transit bus service is available from Hantsport to Windsor and west from Hantsport to Digby. The Halifax International Airport provides freight service to locations within the Town and is located 1 hour from Hantsport. The Windsor and Hantsport Railway Company is one of two private companies in Nova Scotia.
